Avior Capital Markets had extended the range of services it offered institutional investors by hiring derivatives and fixed income analysts, the local equity research company said yesterday. Kevin Mattison, who started Avior in March 2005 with Peter Koutromanos, said Petrus Bosman and Vincent Masoloke would form the new team after moving from Prescient Securities, noting that two more people would join the unit at the end of this month. “Their skills and experience will complement Avior’s equity research and trading capability in South Africa.”
