IT ISN’T rigor mortis but something that comes close to it — a persistence of major themes despite many cross-currents and volatility, especially in global equity markets, creating the impression of interrupted trends, fresh directions and new developments.

 
This persistence of major themes can be observed globally as well as locally. In many cases it has stretched for up to five years already and could be extrapolated for more years before genuine derailment occurs.
